Activities at Veetka
The fate and history of the old Veetka farmstead (sold from Karula Manor in 1867) has been gay like a forest in autumn. It has accommodated owners, renters, and just occupants who have raised stock, grown cereals, forest, and it has stood empty. Although its present inhabitants were originally city folks, since 1990, we have developed the following activities:

| 4. Wooden buildings and products - (various things made of logs - village swings, benches, handmade roundwood buildings with internal finishing and technical units) |

Experience tourism has become our main activity. Veetka Farm is one of the seven farms in the first Estonian tourist village – Woods Crone Family Park – and it is "the Home and Master's Shop of the Woods Crone"
Principles of Veetka
The present owners of Veetka used to live in the city but for some strange reason, they settled in this wild and remote place. They just went searching for a home in 1990...
When he was young, the landlord dreamed of growing a beard, taking care of a forest and raising children, and some of these dreams have become true. Trees and wood have always been close to his heart. The landlady has studied Estonian national traditions, and living in the forest has provided her an incentive to gain more knowledge about the surroundings - that's why she took interest in herbs, decorations made of dried plants and a healthier way of life. Our sons Jonatan(11) and Kaspar(9) are little rascals who have not yet decided on their principles of life. They spend their endless energy on sports. Our daughter Johanna Maria (4) is just a sweet little kitten yet.
We think that 'country folks' like us can go to a city to look for some company much easier than 'city folks' to the country to find a place to relax from business stress.
Veetka "experiences"
Veetka Farm is the home of the Woods Crone. As the farm is in wilderness, within the vast forests and hills of South Estonia, and neighbours are 2 kilometres away, the landlady may consider herself a real Woods Crone for her hobbies and ways of life resemble the ones of the Woods Crone.
Tired hikers or city people can rest here "in a house on chicken legs" or camp on the campsite which has a wigwam with a place to make a campfire, a swing and climbing trees for children. For three years, we have offered romantic nights on the lake for couples (See: a night in the Tent of Romantic Nights), plus "a forest love game", herbal sauna and a special massage by the Woods Crone. If you want you can also get acquainted with herbal cosmetics.
We offer various types of food. Our speciality is nature food - nettle soup on a campfire from a big kettle, burdock stew, dandelion honey, black pudding roasted on a campfire at Christmas, etc. Naturally, we offer herbal teas. Don't be afraid, carnivores won't have to starve here, either - we offer also various delicious dishes from meat. And desserts...
The owners of Veetka Farm consider their activities to be aimed at experience tourism. They mediate nature using various pleasant methods. For example games and creative activities, singing accompanied by a drum deep in the forest under the tree with a skirt, sensing nature with different senses (eyes closed), familiarising people with folk medicine and trees' influence on people, fairies, etc. As we have gone a long way to find our main activities, the Woods Crone has tried to write down her theories and arrange pleasant study days twice a year. You can also invite the Woods Crone to come to you and share her knowledge and experience.
