The Story of Mändiku or Tuhka
Tuhka, former Mändiku Farm was renamed because its old owner had been a wise man and had the ashes from all the stoves of the farm thrown onto the fields of the farm (the Estonian for ashes is tuhk). People started calling him Tuhkats (or Ash Richard).
The man hated the name but his grandson loved it and named the farm Tuhka because there were three farms called Mändiku in the neighbourhood already.
