Snake Kingdom
Ränna Farm is in an interesting place surrounded by water from each side. You can see snakes here even nowadays when they have almost disappeared from other places.
A sick old man used to live here in old times. One day, he was sitting on a stump near the forest and let the spring sun warm his ailing body. Suddenly he noticed a snake next to him.
The snake looked at him curiously and the old man uttered hesitantly: "Well, little snake, you have not a care in the world. But I'm so ill I can hardly move my old bones. "Miraculously, the snake started speaking in human tongue and promised to help the old man. They met each day and each day the man felt better until he was completely healthy.
Soon a big fire started nearby and all creatures started running from the fire. The snakes, too, fled from the fire and found a safe place on the lands of Ränna Farm because the lands were surrounded by water, which protected them from fire. The old man allowed the snakes to stay there, thus, thanking the snake for making him well again.
