The Story of Ala-Mähkli
Long, long time ago, there lived a tribe of people who used tools made of stone and bone. They went hunting,
fishing and gathered all their food from nature. They did not know much about agriculture and their life was rather difficult.
On one spring morning, when the fog from the lake drifted above the landscape, the chief went to the lake and asked it to send
them help. He also made a sacrifice - two chunks of abdominal skin from a grey deer and eight wing bones from a bird.
And what do you know, when the fog cleared the next morning, two ash-grey horses were grazing on the mountain...
